TWO Perth GPs have started an innovative scholarship scheme to encourage medical students to take up general practice as a career.
Dr Robert Wolman and Dr Chris Denz, of the Central City Medical Centre, are putting up $9000 for three scholarships for third-year medical students at the University of WA. The winners will receive $1000 annually for the next three years.
The GPs are also donating a $1000 prize annually to the fifth-year medical student who attains the highest score in the GP clinical attachment.Dr Wolman said they wanted to change the ...
