DOCTORS who participate in risk-management programs through their medical defence organisations are much less likely to face a claim, information from two insurers reveals.

An analysis by Medical Insurance Group Australia found that doctors who had participated in its risk-management program for the past four years faced fewer, smaller and less serious claims than doctors who had never been in the program.
