Air filters

Medical Design Technology, Jan, 2007

When a design calls for more positive grounding, Spring Clip filters offer more effective EMI shielding. At the same time, they simultaneously help reduce vibration and chatter, and can meet special installation requirements. EMI shields are typically integrated into an air filter assembly that uses honeycomb cells to deflect and attenuate EMI noise that can disrupt vital electronic functions. One reason for this problem is that cooling electronics with forced air typically requires a large opening in the cabinet or enclosure for fan and air filters. A large opening allows more potential EMI/RFI noise to be emitted.
