The Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute has announced a new report on continuously reinforced concrete pavement (CRCP), titled "Life Cycle Cost Analysis of Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavements." Continuously reinforced concrete is a long-lasting pavement type that is known for its durability, long-lived ride comfort, minimal maintenance, and reduced costs to users and owners.

The study examined the cost-effectiveness of five of the most influential CRCP design features: concrete slab thickness, longitudinal steel reinforcement amount, base type and thickness, shoulder type, and slab width.
