The consulting engineering firm Byce & Associates, Inc. has announced that Scott Thompson, P.E. recently earned his Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED is a national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings. Thompson is an electrical engineer in the Kalamazoo office. A 1997 graduate of Western Michigan University, he holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. Thompson specializes in designing facility/site lighting, including outdoor lighting, security systems, communications systems, fire protection, and fire alarms, in addition to power distribution systems design.
