Michigan State University's Head Women's Basketball Coach Joanne McCallie opened the second annual Michigan Construction Industry Professional Development Day with a motivating speech of seven characteristics of effective leaders: integrity, vision, competence, courage, perseverance, motivation, and selflessness.
"Integrity is your moral compass. You are a product of your little choices, and those little choices matter. You also need an idea of where you're going. Are you asking people to define their vision?
