Volkswagen has narrowed its search for the name of its D1 luxury sedan to a shortlist. But a VW spokesman denied that it would be called ``Palladium."
VW will present the first D1 to German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder at a December 11 ceremony at its new ``glass" factory in Dresden, Germany.
D1 production in Dresden is scheduled to start in March 2002. A small number of undisguised models is already being tested on German roads.
