Bosch looks for growth in modules, CVTs.

Robert Bosch's large presence at October's Tokyo auto show underlines the German group's current strength in Japan's marketplace.

Bosch has 15 manufacturing locations in Japan and employs 13,400, including 1,300 in research and development.

The group pulled together all its original-equipment activities in Japan under Bosch Automotive Systems Corporation in October.

Bosch sees growth opportunities arising from the changes currently under way in Japan, which are partly following European and North American trends.
