Air con factory
Denso began building a new plant for air-conditioning parts in Liberec, Czech Republic.
Denso is investing E55 million in the plant, which will start production at the end of 2003. By 2005, Denso expects to employ 1,000 in Liberec, generating sales of E210 million.
Denso has three other European air-conditioning plants in Germany, Italy and the UK.
Valeo closure
Valeo will close its wiring plant in Velenje, Slovenia, and transfer production to another plant in Mateur, Tunisia.
