DETROIT - The next step in Opel's Olympia turnaround project will begin four months earlier than originally planned, Opel Chairman Carl-Peter Forster said.
The acceleration was prompted by last quarter's difficult economic situation and the prospects of a tough 2002.
The new measures include making earlier reductions in capacity and administrative work force than previously planned.
