Land Rover is trying to overcome its reputation for lackluster quality with the redesigned Range Rover.
The 2003 Range Rover began production last month on a new line in the company's Solihull plant in the English midlands after a $290 million (E325.4 million) investment largely for quality enhancements.
"We have a new stamping press, a new body construction facility and new trim facility," said Marin Burela, Land Rover director of manufacturing, after the unveiling of the Range Rover. "We've also greatly improved the paint quality."
