Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedChrysler to focus on USA, not Europe.
Automotive News Europe, January, 2002 by Ostle, Dorothee
Chrysler has lowered its sales ambitions outside North America.
"We don't intend to be a volume player in international markets anymore," said President and CEO Dieter Zetsche. "America is where we have more than 90 percent of our customers."
Meeting US tastes with future products will actually increase Chrysler's international potential, Zetsche said.
"We will exploit this growth potential with attractive models developed for the American markets, so we'll grow in markets outside the USA too," he said.
