FORD OF Europe is in a turnaround mode, but Ford Motor Co. recently announced the drastic changes it plans to make during the next several years in North America to ensure that it has a future.
As it continues to cut some 21,000 jobs in North America, Ford Motor will close three assembly plants and two parts plants. The company plans to get out of a lot of businesses that it probably never should have gotten into, and it will probably lose a lot of money in the process.
