Compressor plant
Delphi Automotive Systems' Harrison Thermal division and Calsonic Kansei opened a joint-venture plant in Balassag-yarmat, Hungary.
The 15,000-square-meter plant produces Delphi's compact variable compressors with 130 employees. Employment is expected to rise to 400 when full production of 1 million units a year is reached. Initial production will be for Renault.
