THE SELECTION committee has spoken. Nicolaus Otto, Henry Ford, Battista Pininfarina and Andre and Edouard Michelin will be inducted into the European Automotive Hall of Fame next month in Geneva.
They join a group of 13 inventors and empire builders who entered the Hall of Fame last year as charter members.
The Hall of Fame is new and is at first inducting the legends - men whose names are on buildings or on cars or on engines, like Otto and Rudolph Diesel.
The Hall has not begun to admit pure managers - businessmen who came into companies and fixed or vastly improved them. ...
