Why Vel Satis is so extreme.

Isn't Renault being a bit extreme with the styling of Avantime and Vel Satis?

We had to be. No one would buy a luxury three-box Renault sedan even if it was highly discounted. Innovation is in our DNA and we have to fully exploit it. We do not want to convince the entire world that the Vel Satis architecture is the absolute best for luxury cars. We would be happy just to win 300,000 customers in its entire six-year life cycle.
