Fiat is scrapping its 178 world car program. Fiat's future car for emerging markets will be the same as the vehicle that will replace the Punto. The car will also share components with future superminis from GM's Opel and Vauxhall brands. Fiat and GM have set up a center in Turin to work on the project.
