Freudenberg buy

Sealings supplier Freudenberg Dichtungs- und Schwingung-stechnik has acquired a minority stake in Lederer, a German processor of liquid silicon.

Lederer, based in Oehringen, Germany, employs 120 and reported sales of E13 million in 2001.

A Freudenberg spokeswoman said that demand for liquid silicon-based products is growing rapidly in the auto industry.

Freudenberg Dichtungs- und Schwingungstechnik is part of the Freudenberg group.
