Magna-Steyr has begun development of a new Saab convertible that the company will also start building in Austria in 2003.

The Saab is one of a growing number of complete-car projects that Magna International's European subsidiary is winning.

Contracts for designing, engineering and production of the Saab, the BMW X3 sport-utility and a Chrysler vehicle for 2005 or 2006 are the payoff for Magna's complete vehicle-development capabilities.
