The most revolutionary aspect of the Italdesign Brera concept car is a sound system that eliminates mechanical speakers.
Outside, the concept car that debuted at the Geneva auto show is a proposal for a new Alfa Romeo 2+2 coupe with a 4.0-liter engine. Inside, the Brera is the first automotive application of a revolutionary speaker system that directly stimulates air molecules to produce sound.
The system eliminates traditional mechanical speakers that use a vibrating membrane to reproduce sounds.
