Micro Compact Car Smart is again considering entering the US market.
The city-car subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler was preparing last year to launch in North America. But the program was suspended after the September 11 terrorist attacks.
DaimlerChrysler will decide soon whether to export Smarts to selected locations in the USA. The target cities include New York, Chicago, Atlanta and cities in Florida and on the West Coast where consumer lifestyles would suit Smart cars.
