Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedDealers in Spain sue Nissan.
Automotive News Europe, March, 2002 by De Saint-Seine, Sylviane
Nissan's Spanish dealers have accused the carmaker of trying to lower the value of their businesses as part of a restructuring of the network.
Alfredo Briganty, a lawyer in Madrid, told Automotive News Europe that he is suing Nissan Spain on behalf of the 137 dealers in the Spanish Nissan dealers' association.
He said that Nissan set a gross profit margin for its dealers that makes their business barely profitable and reduces their value.
The suit against Nissan was filed in a Barcelona court on December 31, 2001.
