NedCar President Chris Dewulf will leave at the end of May.

Dewulf, a longtime Volvo executive, has accepted a job outside the car industry. He has run the plant in Born, the Netherlands, since 1995.

Until 2000, Volvo and Mitsubishi were 50-50 partners in NedCar. But after D/C acquired a 37 percent stake in Mitsubishi that year, Volvo sold its part of NedCar to Mitsubishi.
