Some of the safety technologies in Volvo's new XC90 sport wagon will eventually be used in other Ford group vehicles.
The XC90 doesn't go on sale until next spring in Europe.
But Volvo is already promoting the anti-rollover technology and extra high-strength steel used in the vehicle's body structure. Volvo says the features will make the XC90 safer for passengers and occupants of other vehicles in a crash.
