Three new high-tech components are key to Delphi's plan to quadruple its commercial vehicle business by 2006.

A new generation of 2,000-bar diesel fuel injectors, engine management controls and a truck productivity center are driving Delphi's efforts. The world's No. 1 auto supplier wants to reach $2.8 billion (2.85 million) in commercial vehicle sales within four years, said Gregory Kochendorfer, global director of commercial vehicles.

Delphi expects its 2002 commercial vehicle sales to be $700 million.
