The car business is all about making money. Ford of Europe has big hopes its new Fiesta will be able to earn a profit, but Earl Hesterberg, Ford of Europe vice president for marketing, sales and service, knows that won't be easy.
"The Fiesta can be profitable, but it's on a razor's edge," he said. "We have to have supply and demand balanced, and we have to be competitive with the segment leader, generally regarded as the Volkswagen Polo."
