Visteon's tunnel vision

Visteon will invest 24 million in a high-performance wind tunnel in Germany.

The tunnel will be an extension of existing research and testing facilities at the US-based supplier's technical center in Karpen. The tunnel will be able to simulate a vehicle speed of 200kph, and will be able to provide a temperature range of -40 to +55 degrees centigrade.

Construction on the tunnel has just begun and the facility is expected to be operational by 2004.
