Project leader electro-hydraulic brakes, Bosch

Bosch says its electrohydraulic braking system - developed with DaimlerChrysler as Sensotronic Brake Control - is a major innovation and a big step toward complete brake-by-wire. The system uses information from the electronic stability program about driving conditions to optimize braking pressures for each wheel.

In curves, for example, the system can apply stronger braking pressure to wheels on the outside of the curve than to those on the inside.
