Rivals Delphi and Mannesmann Sachs have been forced to share the business on a new flexible assembly line at a General Motors plant in the UK.

When GM Europe decided to close part of the Luton, England, assembly plant and build both the Opel/Vauxhall Vectra and Astra at Ellesmere Port, it insisted the two suppliers cooperate.
