Now that General Motors' product development is on the right track in North America, Vice Chairman Robert Lutz says he will focus on Europe and elsewhere.
His title of vice chairman for product development carries worldwide responsibilities.
"At the invitation of GM Europe, I do plan to become more involved and come over more often," Lutz told reporters last month at a California briefing.
Lutz says his most important role is as a conductor to set the tempo and tone for designers and engineers.
