What it is: Concept of a fuel-cell-powered luxury sedan.
The first running prototype to emerge from General Motors AUTOnomy fuel-cell program has a strong European content. The vehicle, called Hy-Wire for hydrogen fuel-cell power and for the many by-wire technologies it incorporates, will debut at the Paris show.
The AUTOnomy project is GM's view of fuel-cell power and control-by-wire technology for a vehicle for 2010. The first AUTOnomy vehicle was a sleek coupe; the Hy-Wire is a 5-meter long luxury sedan.
