Europe's dealer networks kept consolidating last year and the pace will accelerate with new block exemption rules, according to the annual GMAP European Car Distribution Handbook.

The 2002 issue of the handbook, published by HWB International and sponsored by GMAP Consulting, reported that new-car sales points fell to a new low of 91,690 in 2002, down 5.7 percent from the previous year.
