Faurecia JV
Faurecia and GSK of Taiwan will build seats in Wuhan, central China in a joint venture called Faurecia GSK Wuhan Automotive Seating (FGW). Faurecia will own 51 percent of the new company and GSK 49 percent.
FGW will produce seats for Citroen Xsaras and Picassos built by Dongfeng-Citroen Automotive, also in Wuhan.
Faurecia reported a 6.3 percent increase in third-quarter sales from the same period a year earlier, to [euro]2.3 billion. Sales of seats grew 19.7 percent and vehicle interior business rose 9 percent.
