Even as Fiat tries to reverse its sales slide in Europe, the Italian automaker finds itself in trouble in India, too.
Fiat's embattled Indian subsidiary, Fiat India Private Ltd., is in turmoil after a drop in sales for the Palio, the five-door hatchback version of the 178 world car.
Moreover, Fiat's Indian dealers are in rebellious mood. They are openly questioning Fiat's commitment to the Indian market and accusing Fiat of burdening them with stocks of slow-selling models.
