PSA adds more diesels at Tremery.(News)

PSA/Peugeot-Citroen is doubling production capacity to 5,000 a day for the 1.4-liter diesel HDi engine it codeveloped with Ford.

PSA invested [euro]315 million for a new line at its Tremery engine plant in northeastern France, with a capacity of 2,500 engines a day.

The new line matches one PSA set up last year at Douvrin in northern France, which builds up to 2,500 1.4-liter diesels a day. Those engines are used in the Peugeot 206 and 307, Citroen C3 and the Ford Fiesta and Fusion.
