Maybach, not Mercedes
The Mercedes-Benz Maybach concept at the 1997 Tokyo auto show only hints at a future super-luxury model. "There is no final decision on whether the Maybach name will be used," said Dieter Zetsche, management board member for sales and marketing. "But it has to be a Mercedes-Benz."
