VW and SupplyOn join forces.(Suppliers)

Volkswagen plans a series of new initiatives between its own online link to suppliers and the Bosch-led SupplyOn exchange.

The first step will be harmonizing data formats that SupplyOn uses for its mostly German customers and that VW Group Supply.com uses for its 6,000 suppliers. That will allow the two to swap information between both platforms electronically, such as online requests for quotations.
