Insurance costs fall for crash-friendly Corolla.(News)

Toyota is making cheap insurance and ease of repair key marketing tools for its cars.

The Japanese automaker says the cost to insure and repair the Corolla is the lowest in the lower-medium segment.

In the case of a collision against a concrete block at a speed of 15kph, Toyota claims only three parts of the Corolla need to be replaced. That compares with 15 parts in 1992 and 12 in 1997 for previous-generation Corollas, said Philippe Boursereau, spokesman for Toyota France.
