Porsche contract

Valeo's Bending Light headlamps will be used on the Porsche Cayenne sport-utility.

The high-intensity discharge headlamps incorporate electronics that provide more light toward the front corners of the Cayenne during turns, based on the steering wheel angle.

Valeo developed Bending Light as part of its "Seeing and Being Seen" program. The headlamps are claimed to achieve up to a 90 percent improvement in the peripheral range of the forward view of the driver.

Terms were not disclosed.
