Franz Fehrenbach, who led Bosch's big push into common-rail diesels, will replace Hermann Scholl as Bosch CEO on July 1.
Fehrenbach, 53, is currently president of the diesel fuel injection systems division.
"His division has been the star performer of the Bosch group," said an analyst. "It got a jump on the rest and is still growing. They've not been caught."
