Skoda eyes Mexico
Czech carmaker Skoda is conducting a feasibility study on entering the Mexican market. Annual sales of 10,000 to 15,000 Fabia and Octavia models would be "quite realistic," said Detlev Schmidt, Skoda's head of sales and marketing. Skoda is also looking at the Australian market.
Schmidt denied that Skoda would develop a low-cost convertible. "We could not compete in that niche," he said.
