The cockpit for Nissan's new Micra was designed and is built by a 50-50 joint venture between Canada's Magna and Japan's Calsonic Kansei.
The joint venture, called Magna Kansei, assembles cockpits in a new 5,850-square-meter automated plant in Washington, England, near Nissan's plant in Sunderland.
Magna Kansei invested pound sterling4 million ([euro]6.1 million) in the new facility.
