European parts makers are among the fastest-growing automotive suppliers in North America thanks to new business wins with the major US carmakers and traditional European customers.

Several European players are planning new manufacturing plants in the USA, and others have purchased manufacturing operations there. They are growing in the US market as longtime customers such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz gain sales there and as General Motors, Ford and Chrysler Group seek advanced technology components to match competition.
