Cadillac is returning to its history with a V-16 engine for the Cadillac Sixteen concept car.
Cadillac built 4,400 V-16s between 1930 and 1940. The first version was a 7.2-liter overhead-valve construction that developed between 165hp and 185hp.
That was succeeded in 1938 by a 185hp 7.0-liter version, but construction ended with only 514 units as the US auto industry converted to war production.
