Over the past decade while covering the South Korean auto industry, I have seen it hit dizzying heights and dismal depths.
In the mid-1990s, South Korea was buzzing. It looked like domestic automakers - backed by the giant chaebols, or conglomerates, that owned them - were aiming to take over the world.
