BEHR - Markus Flik (right) has been appointed CEO of Behr, the German heating and ventilation systems supplier. He will succeed current CEO Horst Geidel on July 1.
Flik joined the Behr board in 1997 and is currently in charge of research and development and the engine cooling product division.
With the appointment of Flik, Behr has jumped a generation in its management hierarchy. The 42-year-old Flik was picked over long-time board member and marketing director Rudi Ludwig, 54.
Behr said Lud-wig intends to leave the company in April.
