PSA seeks new diesel filter.(News)(Brief Article)

PSA/Peugeot-Citroen says it plans to develop a longer-lasting diesel particulate filter by 2005. But it's not sure it will keep all the suppliers who helped develop its current filter.

"We need to extend our particulate filter's life," said Gilles Michel, PSA's new head for platforms, techniques and purchasing. "We think we'll find a product that lasts the lifetime of a car by 2005."
