Audi is expanding efforts to take minority stakes in individual urban dealerships.

Audi already holds shares of dealers in Hamburg and Hannover, Germany, and will seek investments in other German city dealerships, said Georg Flandorfer, member of the Audi board responsible for sales. Audi may consider expanding that to other urban dealerships elsewhere in Europe later.

"We are planning to start investing in specific dealers in certain cities," Flandorfer said.
