With 10 recent additions, Delphi's new reporting unit for troubled businesses has become a [euro]2 billion to [euro]3 billion group, with plants in diverse locations and a wide range of product lines.
The world's No. 1 supplier won't reveal much about the Automotive Holdings Group it created last year until it begins reporting separate financial results at the end of the first quarter. But Delphi executives acknowledged that the group is losing money at a rate about equal to 10 percent of annual revenues.
