Porsche plans to build 1,500 units of the Carrera GT high-performance sports car it unveiled in Geneva.
The [euro]390,000 supercar will be produced at Porsche's plant in Leipzig, Germany. The first car will be delivered this autumn. Production of the limited edition model will be completed by December 2005.
The Carrera GT is powered by a 612hp, 5.7-liter non-aspirated V-10 engine situated right behind the cockpit. It manages a top speed of 330kph and goes from zero to 200kph in 9.9 seconds.
